The most reliable option in morning traffic.
Take the coastal line south from Colombo Fort and get off at Katubedda or Moratuwa. Campus is a short walk or a brief tuk ride from either station.

GETTING THERE
Four ways to arrive
The 09:00 start falls inside the Colombo morning rush, so whichever route you take, leave more time than the map suggests.
By bus
Frequent along the Galle Road corridor.
Any Galle Road service running south towards Moratuwa or Panadura passes Katubedda junction. Ask for the university stop.
By road
Around 45–75 minutes from central Colombo.
Head south on Galle Road (A2). Ride-hailing apps cover the route well. Budget the upper end of that range on a weekday morning.
From the airport
Roughly 50 km from Bandaranaike International.
Allow two hours by road, more in peak traffic. If you are flying in the same morning, consider staying in Colombo the night before.
ON CAMPUS
Once you're through the gate
Parking
On-campus parking is available. Follow signage from the main entrance to the visitor area, and arrive early if you are driving.
Registration
Show your invitation at the desk in the main foyer from 08:30. Students should carry a university ID as well.
The room
Everything happens in the Main Auditorium. Volunteers in Finnovate lanyards will point you there from the gate.
Accessibility
Step-free access to the auditorium is available. Tell us in advance and we will make sure someone meets you at the entrance.
Refreshments
Tea and refreshments are served in the foyer from 08:30 and again at the mid-morning break.

Places are limited to the invited list, but if you believe you should be on it, email the organising committee and we will look into it. Requests are handled in the order they arrive, subject to capacity.
Your invitation and a photo ID. Students should also carry a valid university identity card, as campus security may ask for it at the gate.
Yes. The coastal railway line runs alongside campus, with Katubedda and Moratuwa stations both within walking distance, and Galle Road bus services stop at Katubedda junction.
Yes, there is on-campus visitor parking. Follow the signage from the main entrance. Spaces fill up on weekday mornings, so allow extra time if you are driving.
Doors open at 08:30 and the opening ceremony begins at 09:00. Arriving by 08:45 gives you time to find the auditorium and get a seat.
Both. The first panel runs in English and the second in Sinhala. Every other item on the programme, including the research competition, is in English.
Step-free access to the Main Auditorium is available. Email us beforehand and we will arrange for someone to meet you at the entrance and show you the accessible route.
